The Hood Canal Bridge connects North Kitsap Peninsula to Jefferson County and the Olympic Peninsula, including Sequim, Port Angeles, and Port Townsend. It is a drawbridge, and closes occasionally for marine traffic, including submarines from the Navy base at Bangor, just south of Poulsbo.
