Fishing is a favorite sport on Orcas Island.  Many will tell you there is nothing like "a day on the water" fishing for salmon, bass, sole or halibut in the San Juan Islands.

Fishing licenses are required of course and you should also check the red tide hotline at (800) 562-5632.
